#whyilovekenmore Summer Party to be held June 27

The city of Kenmore will host #whyilovekenmore Summer Party all day on June 27 at Log Boom Park in Kenmore.

The city of Kenmore will host #whyilovekenmore Summer Party all day on June 27 at Log Boom Park in Kenmore.

The day will begin with paddling races from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Signups will begin at 9:30 a.m. for the WhatsSUP standup paddleboard (SUP) and kayak races. There is a $5 entry fee with awards and for speed and creative attire. For those with their own watercraft, there will be a race from Redmond to Kenmore from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information visit www.kenmorewac.org.

Kids Day at the Drive-In will take place from 2-5 p.m. at Kenmore City Hall. Enjoy the animated racing movie “Cars” at 3 p.m. Kids can build and decorate their own cardboard car in advance starting at 2 p.m. Participants are asked to bring their own cardboard boxes if possible.

The street fair will be held from 5-9 p.m. between Northeast 181st Street at 68th Avenue Northeast at Kenmore Village.

The event will include live music with BottleRockit and The Brian Bohman Band sponsored by Prime Pacific Bank, food vendors and a beer garden, inflatable bouncy house, chalk art and other family activities.
