FIRST LEGO League regional competition is set for Inglemoor High on Saturday

The FIRST LEGO League will be holding one of its regional robotics competitions from 12:45-4 p.m. this Saturday at Inglemoor High in Kenmore.

Thanks to a grant from the Motorola Foundation, as well as additional funding from private donors, Girl Scouts of Western Washington will be sending three all-girl teams to the regionals. The participating girls are all ages 9-14 and for the past month or two have been working in teams of six or seven (along with adult volunteer coaches) to design, build and program LEGO robots to perform biomedical-centered challenges. In addition to learning to build and program the robots, each team will also give a presentation on a biomedical topic/issue of their choosing and propose a solution.
