Bothell high school seniors invited to apply for scholarship

The City of Bothell is now accepting applications for the AWC Center for Quality Communities Scholarship fund. The scholarship is available through a statewide competitive process for students who are actively engaged in their city government and/or community and plan to attend post-secondary school in fall 2017.

To be eligible, a student must be graduating from high school, home school or receiving a GED in spring/summer 2017; live in the city limits of Bothell; plan to continue their education at an accredited post-secondary institution in the 2017-2018 academic year on a half-time or more basis; and been involved with a city government or with a community/school leadership activity.

The City of Bothell is nominating one local candidate to compete for the AWC Center of Quality Communities Scholarship. The $1,000 scholarship is awarded to six Washington state students.

Complete applications must be submitted to Barbara Ramey at Bothell City Hall by 5 p.m. Feb. 27. Applications also can be emailed to her at barbara.ramey@bothellwa.gov.
