Fundraising event planned for ‘Welcome to Bothell’ sign

A fundraiser is being held on July 14 to support the efforts of the community members working to bring back the “Welcome to Bothell for a day or a lifetime” sign.

Tickets are $50 for the event to bring back the iconic sign. It will run from 6-9 p.m. July 14 at Inglewood Golf Club, 6505 Inglewood Rd. N.E. in Kenmore.

The event will include raffle items, appetizers and Foggy Noggin’ Brewing’s “For a Beer or a Lifetime” brew. Tickets can be purchased at the door, bothellchamber.com or Banner Bank, 10125 Main St. in Bothell.

As previously reported, the new sign would be located at Bothell Landing, at the intersection of State Route 522 and Bothell Way Northeast (State Route 527). Organizers have estimated they need to raise $10,000 to bring back the sign.
