Lauren Bennett of Bothell is one of six students at St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY, awarded a Tanner Fellowship, intended to encourage students to enlarge their capacities to make a positive and creative mark on the world by enabling them to design and pursue educational experiences not otherwise available to them. The Tanner Fellowship carries with it a stipend of $2,500.
A graduate of Henry M. Jackson High, Bennett is a member of the class of 2011 at St. Lawrence. She is a global-studies major, and her fellowship award will allow her to participate in an internship at the National Museum of Dance in Saratoga Springs, NY.
