Moscoso understands the issues, has wealth of experience

The letter published Oct. 21, “Businesswoman will represent district well,” admirably praised Heidi Munson for state representative, and though I respect Heidi for overcoming poverty to run her own business, I think Luis Moscoso will represent us all much better in Olympia than Heidi.

For one thing, Luis understands the issues.

He understands transportation. Luis was a driver for community transit for 30 years, during which time he served on the regional council to improve our transportation infrastructure.

He also understands our vulnerable youth. He volunteered to work in an award-winning, anti-gang program Neutral Zone. He served on the Mountlake Terrace community Policing Advisory Board.

He understands the working class. He knows how to negotiate a work contract for public employee and has been active in the legislative process.

Luis will be able to hit the ground running in Olympia for all of us in the First District, including Heidi. He is educated, articulate and skilled in problem solving. He has had the experience of being challenged and defending his decision. He knows how to win people over with good ideas and mutual respect. We need people with conviction and ability to influence and lead to get us through these tough times.

Luis has the skills and character to serve the First District admirably. Vote Luis Moscoso for representative.
