Cascadia wins gold for recruitment brochure

Cascadia Community College’s new recruitment brochure received the gold award at the recent Medallion Awards dinner hosted by District 7 of the National Council for Marketing & Public Relations. The brochure was created by Cascadia’s Graphic Designer Susan Ford and Assistant Director of Communications & Marketing Dan Rinder in order to give prospective students an introduction to Cascadia’s proven learning environment.

“This brochure attractively conveys to prospective students the essence of who we are and what we do here,” according to Cascadia President Bill Christopher. “We are very proud of Susan and Dan and their work to create this publication. The results reaffirm our belief that staff, students, and faculty all play important roles in sustaining our commitments to lifelong learning and communicating with clarity and originality.”

The National Council for Marketing & Public Relations is a national membership organization for marketing and public relations professionals at community and technical colleges. District 7 encompasses the states of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington and the provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and Yukon Territory, Canada. NCMPR is an affiliate of the American Association of Community Colleges.

Cascadia also took the silver award for its series of television advertisements that ran on several cable stations over the past year and were produced in collaboration with Comcast.
