Western Washington University student Samantha McField of Bothell received the 2010-2011 Oscar Olson Arts Scholarship. The $1,500 scholarship is awarded to students who are declared majors in fine and performing arts, biology, chemistry, computer science, geology or physics/astronomy and based on academic achievement. McField, a sophomore, has a 3.6 grade-point average and is majoring in studio art. She hopes to become a professional illustrator.
