Village Concepts, a third generation family-owned business that operates Riverside East Retirement and Assisted Living in Bothell as well as other retirement and assisted living communities throughout Washington state, was recognized as a “Silver Winner” in the 2013 Seattle Business magazine Family Business Awards.

Village Concepts is one of 13 family-owned businesses recognized in seven categories for their sense of responsibility, legacy, dedication and contribution to the local economy. Selected as a “Silver Winner” for large firms with more than 250 employees, the company was recognized at an awards gala on Nov. 19 at Bell Harbor International Conference Center in Seattle.

“Over the course of time, I’ve learned to continually look back to the principals that guided my grandfather, who founded Village Concepts in 1975, toward his vision of the company and find that they are still critical components of the business today,” said Chief Operating Officer of Village Concepts Stuart Brown. “We treat our customers like family and are continually innovating to increase our offerings to our customers.”

Village Concepts offers on-site physical and occupational therapy, individualized care programs designed for each resident and certified and licensed staff on-site 24 hours a day. The company is expanding with multi-million dollar facilities in Burien and Milton.
