Ivar’s Restaurants announced today it will open a new restaurant in Bothell this August. The new location is in the Lakeside at Canyon Creek Shopping Center, 24016 Bothell-Everett Highway.

“Ivar’s is a beloved institution and a great corporate citizen,” said Bothell Mayor Mark Lamb. “As mayor of the city of Bothell, I am thrilled to see Ivar’s Restaurant return here and wish them great success in their new location.”

It marks the return of Ivar’s to Bothell after closing its former location three years ago.

“This marks the 24th restaurant location for Ivar’s, and we’re excited to come back to Bothell, where we always enjoyed a supportive customer base,” said Dave Fechter, director of operations for all Ivar’s Seafood Bars. “Our last location in Bothell was open from 1978 to 2009, but it was closed amid the downtown revitalization construction plans. Now we are back, and look forward serving the Bothell community with our classic fish ‘n chips and new menu items.”

The new 2,020 square foot Seafood Bar will feature seating for 94 guests, including outdoor tables complete with umbrellas. In addition, the location will feature a soup display with an array of Ivar’s world-famous chowders and soups, along with a fresh salad and sandwich station with hand-tossed salads and sandwiches made to order.

The Ivar’s Bothell Seafood Bar will employ approximately 25 local staffers and is looking to fill a wide range of positions via on-site recruiting days and submitted applications. Those wishing to apply should send their cover letter and resume to bothellivars@keepclam.com.
