Big 5 Sporting Goods will open its newest location in Bothell on Friday. The 12,00 square foot, full-line sporting goods store is located at 22631 Bothell-Everett Highway.

A special ‘Early Bird’ Grand Opening Sale is scheduled to begin at 5 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 23 or Black Friday. Extended holiday hours will be in effect during December.

“We are very excited about becoming a part of Bothell’s growing and energetic market and believe that our 58 years of experience in the sporting goods business will enable us to successfully fulfill the needs of sports enthusiasts in this community,” said President and Chief Executive Officer Steve Miller. “The emphasis in all Big 5 stores is on providing a wide selection of top quality, nationally recognized brand name sporting goods, while also focusing on providing friendly, knowledgeable service to our customers.”

The Bothell store opening will mark the 49th Big 5 in Washington state. Normal store hours are weekdays 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturdays 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sundays 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Big 5 Sporting Goods was founded in 1955 and currently operates 410 full-line sporting goods stores in 12 western states including Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.
