Let your kids hunt for themselves

To the parents of the 3-5-year-olds at the Bothell Community Egg Hunt who feel it necessary to “hunt” for Easter eggs for your children — at the expense of other kids who are trying to collect eggs on their own. I witnessed adults cutting-off children to pick up eggs and put them in your kid’s basket.

Shame on you. How are you not able to let your kids go out and gather eggs for themselves? I’ve heard of parents living their lives through their children’s Little League games, but an Easter egg hunt? How pathetic.

Next year, please let the kids enjoy themselves. I promise you’ll get more satisfaction seeing your child’s accomplishments if you allow them to do it on their own.
