As another Northshore School Board election looms, I've been trying to figure out how best to help my friends decide which candidate to support. In District 3, there are three candidates running in the primary: Berta Phillips, David Cogan and Isaac Parsons.
Bothell has the privilege of becoming home to the swelling population of our region.
Regarding Schwend's endorsement of John Lee for city council, checking a recent list of registered voters in the city turned up exactly zero 'Schwend's.'
I would like to highly recommend endorsing Mr. John Lee for the position on the Bothell City Council.
We are excited to see John Lee running for Bothell City Council.
I endorse John Lee as Bothell city councilman. He is of highest character and enjoys virtues that ensure great and right decisions in stewarding the city of Bothell.
John Lee would make a great addition to the governing body in Bothell.
As much as I would like to, I can't take responsibility for this commentary. But, it is very timely and well said. Michael Richards better known as Kramer from TVs Seinfeld makes the point... and whether we like it or not, he is telling the truth.

As a Bothell resident, I’m writing to tell you about something exciting. Seabeck Conference Center on the Hood Canal in Seabeck, Wash. is celebrating its 100th year serving the Pacific Northwest this month. That’s a full century of providing space for retreat, renewal and tranquility for non-profit organizations seeking to bring people together. I am a proud board member of this organization.

After having met with the candidates for Northshore School Board and determining their position on the issue of later start times, the endorsement committee representing Parent Advocates for a Late Start (PALS) is endorsing Berta Phillips, candidate for Northshore School Board - Pos. 3.
There is one word to describe how the development of Bothell is being handled - carelessly.
I have lived in Bothell for 27 years. My husband and I moved here for three reasons: first, Bothell was near Redmond where we worked, and we could even commute to work by biking on the Sammamish Valley Trail; second, we happened to find a house we liked and could afford as we started out to raise our family; and third, we loved the area.
I have no quarrel with those who use their Constitutional rights to object to Shell Oil drilling for petroleum. That they are wrong in their concern has been adequately documented by responsible scientists is another issue.
