T’was the night before playoffs and all through Seattle,
I have lived in the Northshore School District since the very early 1950’s and graduated from Bothell High School in 1963.
We have lived happily in Kenmore since 1998. We chose Kenmore as an excellent place to raise our children in a safe environment with wonderful schools.
I support the Northshore School District. As a former high school teacher and son of local teachers, I purposely chose to buy a house in the Northshore School District.
I am writing in response to the letter from Heather Kaminski, purporting to speak for the Board of Friends of Saint Edward State Park Speaking as only one member of the Friends of Saint Edward State Park board, I do not believe a majority of the board sees “value in State Parks approving an initial short-term occupancy agreement so a more thoughtful long-term process can proceed.”
We are writing to set the record straight on the position of Friends of Saint Edward State Park regarding a pending proposal for the Seminary building and to offer perspectives of two key community groups.
Saint Edward State Park is a jewel in the crown of public lands on the shore of Lake Washington and offers a unique opportunity for visitors from around the Puget Sound region to experience the natural environment.
I would like to chime in on the subject of the prior letters by Susan Gardner and Tom Fitzpatrick.
The Dec. 20th article in the Bothell/Kenmore Reporter may continue to mislead parents and students about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math in education).
Recently the Kenmore Reporter ran a letter from Susan Gardner, “Revising history with Saint Edward Seminary.”
I want to respond to Susan Gardner’s letter “Revising history with Saint Edward Seminary” in the Dec. 20 issue.
I am responding to the article about the State Parks and the St. Edward seminary, which ran in the Kenmore Reporter on Dec. 6.
With a full-time job, family and house in Bothell to take care of, it’s a challenge to find time to keep up with local government.
I found your Dec. 6 article about the Foggy Noggin to be a little distasteful.
Parks administration is likely flimflamming the public when it says public-private lease at Saint Edward State Park is to save Saint Edward State Park Seminary building.
We can only hope that the hit-and-run death of Kenmore resident JD Humphreys will serve as a wake-up call to Kenmore taxpayers.
I served as a volunteer on the Big Finn Hill Trails Committee set up to work with King County Parks on a trail plan for Big Finn Hill Park.
The issue of use and “improvements” to Big Finn Hill Park (west) is one that touches me deeply.
Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance, in collusion with the King County’s natural lands program project manager David Kimmett, have taken it upon themselves to remake Big Finn Hill Park in their own image, in spite of the many voices of protest from the local community.
I am writing on behalf of the Northshore Educational Office Professionals Association (NEOPA).
