I am a Kirkland resident and alarmed about the plan to close the pool and gymnasium at our beloved St. Edward State Park. It’s a very valuable community resource used by many thousands of our residents. I personally teach water aerobics to many seniors, and by closing the pool, you will abandon we who need you most. For us it’s not just a pool, but a place to meet, a place to talk and a place for building each other up. We have a few years left to enjoy, and doing our exercise together is wonderful for all of us.
