School district would be worse off if Ken Smith had his way | Letter

Fortunately, Northshore voters passed the bond with a resounding 65 percent vote. It is paying for the construction of our much needed new North Creek High School, finally allowing the district to move ninth-graders to high school, [it is allowing for] the completion of Woodinville High School’s remodel and many projects to support healthy elementary schools.

The growth in Northshore has left too many students in crowded classrooms and funky portables. If Ken Smith had his way, this problem would only be getting worse. Smith had the same axe to grind (finances not up to his standards) when he ran for Kenmore City Council in 2013, and lost badly.

Perhaps Northshore voters will send him the same message.
