Two superb ensembles from Ingelmoor High School – the string orchestra and wind ensemble – made special appearances with Distinguished Concerts International New York (DCINY), performing as part of the concerts Grant Us Peace at Carnegie Hall on April 12, and Ring of Fire at Avery Fisher Hall, Lincoln Center on April 13.

A critic from New York Concert Review attended both performances and remarked that “these young players rose to the occasion with a polished performance.” The writer also congratulated directors James Rice and Ted Christensen “for the fine musical program at Inglemoor that they both have been so instrumental in developing. With the huge numbers of participants, and the high level at which they play, one should expect continuing successes for this excellent program.”

DCINY would like to congratulate the wonderful young musicians from Inglemoor High School for their remarkable contribution to two unforgettable concerts at two of New York City’s legendary cultural landmarks. We look forward to future DCINY Concert Series collaborations.
