Thompson is ‘exceptionally well qualified’ | Letter

I am currently the presiding judge for Snohomish County District Court and I write to express my support for superior court judge Paul Thompson in the upcoming election. As an attorney, judge Thompson developed a reputation as a formidable and compassionate advocate with a strong intellect, impeccable ethics, and a relentless work ethic. As a judge, he has carried those admirable traits to the bench. He is truly an asset to the Snohomish County Superior Court and a worthy public servant.

I have served as a municipal and district court judge for more than 15 years so I am familiar with what it takes to be a an excellent jurist like judge Thompson. But you don’t need to take my word for this: He has been endorsed by every sitting superior and district court judge in Snohomish County. Not only has he earned the respect of those that work with him, he has impressed those who appear before him; in the Snohomish County bar poll more than 80 percent of the attorneys in Snohomish County rated him as the top candidate in this election. He has also been rated “exceptionally well qualified” by numerous judicial rating organizations.

Excellence in public service is often unrecognized at the time that it is happening. And it seems that we have less of it now than ever. Here is your chance to recognize excellence in public service in Snohomish County. Vote for judge Paul Thompson.
