Young people are the future | Letter

How exciting to see students helping to educate each other about not only classes but life skills and important issues as well. (“Northshore School District students create educational platform” March 22)

What a great way to strengthen our democracy. I have been a volunteer with RESULTS (results.org) for the past 25 years and enjoy working with 75-100 young people, ages 18-30 who join our group as real-change scholars every year and learn how to be powerful advocates in our democracy to help speak up for the end of hunger and poverty in our country and our world.

Young people are the future and every initiative that helps them understand, be better informed and good citizens benefits all of us. So thanks to Deepthi Chandra, Haze Lee and all the students working to help each other in this process!
