“Wow. Billy Idol is talking to me!” Bothell’s Michael Henrichsen wrote in a recent email to the Reporter.

Even though the rocker didn’t play Henrichsen’s Oct. 22 birthday as he wished, Idol did send the local 25-year-old a video message.

Along with this video, Idol sent another one to be seen strictly at Billy Idol Aid 3 on Nov. 18 at the Showbox Market in downtown Seattle. The event will feature ’80s cover bands Nite Wave (Henrichsen’s group) and Rewind. All proceeds will benefit the American Red Cross and Northwest Harvest.

“Crazy that Billy Idol knows about this!” Henrichsen added.
