Bothell church offers free gospel show

Emmanuel Presbyterian Church in Bothell (19540 104th Ave. N.E.) is offering a free concert of contemporary gospel music by The Anointed Brothers, a Seattle sextet, at 7 p.m. Feb. 13 in the church’s remodeled sanctuary.

The group, which began in 1997 at the Greater Revival Church of God in Christ in Seattle, released a CD in 2000, “I’m in the Hands,” and last year — while based at the Primm Tabernacle African Methodist Episcopal Church — recorded a CD “Tell Jesus.” Music from the latter CD is available for download online.

The group consists of Clifford Dumas on vocals and guitar, Larry Looney on bass guitar, the Rev. Linton Weems Sr. on vocals and keyboards, Stanley Friendship on drums, Jeremiah Beckwith Jr. on vocals and Willie McClarron Jr. on vocals.

Weems, Dumas and Beckwith contribute original music and lyrics.

A free-will offering will be taken during the concert.
