People can vote online at www.KING.org now through April 27.

More than 100 students of music from around the Puget Sound entered the competition in this inaugural year.

The competition encourages enjoyment and performance of classical music for regional young musicians as part of the Classical KING FM educational initiative, in partnership with Seattle Chamber Music Society. The competition is geared toward musicians ages 8 to 20 and includes non-professional acoustic instrumentalists, vocalists, and chamber groups of up to eight people.

The 10 finalists will perform at 8 p.m. April 20 on KING FM’s NW Focus Live program hosted by Sean MacLean in the Classical KING FM studios. On May 4, the grand-prize winner will win an evening on NW Focus LIVE as the featured guest.
