It’s “Nutcracker” season at Pacific Northwest Ballet and among the many children dancing in the beloved Stowell/Sendak holiday production is 10-year-old Klare Kersavage from Bothell.

A fourth grader at Woodmoor Elementary School, Klare will be performing the role of “party girl” in her first appearance in the production.

The 10-year-old began dancing when she was two and is currently in level two at PNB’s school.

She has seen the Nutcracker every year since she was 4 and is thrilled to be among the cast and not the audience this year.

“I was so excited when I heard I got the part,” Klare said. “I love to dance so this is like a dream come true.”

Klare will be in 19 performances of the Nutcracker including “Nutty Nutcracker” on Christmas Eve and the final show ever of the Stowell/Sendak’s Nutcracker at 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 28th.

The final season of the Stowell/Sendak Nutcracker is at Seattle Center’s McCaw Hall for 35 public performances Nov. 28 through Dec. 28. Tickets to Nutcracker may be purchased through the PNB Box Office at 206-441-2424, online at PNB.org or in person at 301 Mercer St.
