The Cole Gallery in Edmonds, Wash. will showcase local Bothell artist in new collection opening Wednesday night.

Artwork created by Bothell resident Michelle Waldele-Dick will be on display at the Cole Gallery, from Nov. 5 through Dec. 9, in their downtown Edmonds location.

The paintings feature whimsical scenes filled with antiques, toys, books and other objects shown in a whimsical light.

“My paintings are a glimpse into the parts of the world that I love and am drawn to,” Waldele-Dick said. “The antiques found in my paintings are often duplicates of things I would have found at my grandmother’s house, or objects that help me tell some of my favorite stories, fairy tales and classic literature, like Dickens.”

While Waldele-Dick’s paintings are hanging in the Cole Gallery, she is also painting realistic murals for the McMenamins resort project set to open to the public next year.

Waldele-Dick will be present during the Nov. 20 Edmonds Art Walk, from 5 to 8 p.m., to meet with the public.
