As part of the United Way’s Day & Night of Caring, about 140 employees from Microsoft’s Marketing and Operations and Small, Medium & Corporate department in Bellevue volunteered their time to spruce up Mary’s Place Northshore in Kenmore.

The work they did included landscaping, painting throughout the building, setting up computers for the organization’s computer room and more.

Mary’s Place is a nonprofit organization that operates emergency family shelters in King County.

According to its website, Day & Night of Caring is a volunteer opportunity to show the rest of the country what caring looks like, Seattle style. The event is the largest volunteer event in the state.
