The Northshore Performing Arts Center in Bothell will host METALES M5 – Mexican Brass at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 31.

METALES M5 – Mexican Brass mixes the shenanigans of the Blues Brothers with the seriousness of the Canadian Brass. Mexico’s leading brass quintet merges great music with showmanship, costumes, lights, audience interaction and an irrepressible Latin American charm. The ensemble’s wide-ranging repertoire creates program mixes of classical, contemporary, folk, film and pops arrangements. M5 takes the Blues to the Opera and Bach to the back roads of Mexico in concerts that are unexpected, surprising, virtuosic and entertaining.

METALES M5’s theatrical show Vuelta de Fuego is a blend of great music, virtuosity, outstanding musicianship and humor, all performed with a winning rapport with the audience. Whether playing Humperdinck or Kamen, Bach or Bernstein, concerts by Mexico’s foremost brass quintet are fun, surprising and unexpected!
