UW Bothell students spread warmth for scarf project

More than 50 students gathered to make scarves in UW purple and gold to give to local children in need.

The University of Washington Bothell Rotaract Club organized a charitable Scarf Peace Project on Nov. 14. Over 50 students gathered to make scarves in UW purple and gold to give to local children in need.

“It was amazing to see the students gather together and truly care about making a positive impact in the community,” said Ariana Navarro, a 2015 Lake Stevens High School graduate who is now a senior business management major, leads the local Rotaract chapter and also is part of student government.

Delta Sigma Pi, a business fraternity, also joined the effort. And Woodinville’s Gathering Fabric Quilt Shop helped students pre-cut fabric for the project.
