The City of Bothell's Park and Recreation Department is offering a chance for local kids to go to Viking Fest in Poulsbo, Wash.

The City of Bothell’s Park and Recreation Department is offering a chance for local kids to go to Viking Fest in Poulsbo, Wash.

Kinds 8 years old and up and adults will travel via ferry and van to the Kitsap Peninsula on May 18.

Viking Fest is an annual celebration of Poulsbo’s Scandinavian heritage. Participants are immersed in all things Scandinavian, including homemade lefse and krumkake, entertainment, arts and crafts, a carnival and the grand parade. The group will then travel to Kingston for sightseeing. Organizers urge comfortable, weather appropriate clothing and walking shoes. Bring money for purchases and a no-host lunch.

Registrations must be received by Friday, May 10.

All attendees under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
