‘A honk and a wave’ in Bothell during election season

David Vliet of Bothell raises election signs and smiles at drivers while standing on the middle crosswalk waiting area at the intersection of state routes 522 and 527 at 8:30 a.m. this morning. Vliet and friend Keith Bankston of Bothell held their Derek Stanford, Patty Murray and Luis Moscosco signs from about 7:30-8:45 a.m. The all-mail general election runs through Nov. 2. “I hope for a honk and a wave,” Bankston said.
