On May 19, people can enjoy a pasta dinner, stroll through the library, listen to the musical talent — or do it all. This evening is designed for prospective students and families of Cedar Park Christian who wish for their child to have a Christian, faith-based education.

Choral music director Kathryn Moore states, “Cedar Park is a wonderful, positive school that truly ‘trains up’ its students ‘in the way they should go’ with consistent Biblical standards. Plus, we have a ton of fun together.”

Arrive at the school at 5:30 p.m. for a pasta dinner in the high-school commons. The cost is $5 per person and $20 per family. Reservations can be made by e-mailing sharlab@dr4kidz.com. All the proceeds go to fund the eighth-grade Washington, D.C. trip. While eating, folks can enjoy the student fine-art and digital-photography exhibition surrounding the commons.

From 5:30-6:45 p.m., head into the high-school auxiliary gym to admire the seventh- through ninth-grade science-fair projects and get a little taste of the education Cedar Park students will receive. The high-school library is putting on a book fair, located in the main high school upstairs.

Finally, to conclude the evening, there will be a choral concert taking place in the church sanctuary, beginning at 7 p.m. Choral groups will be performing gospel, folk and classical music, as well as singing in Latin, Spanish and Hebrew.

Moore says, “School concerts are some of the most fun concerts to attend. It’s free. It will feature some incredibly talented students, who not only sing well, but also are great examples of positive, respectful teenagers. And in this day and age, that’s rare.”

Cedar Park administrator Katie Gallaher adds, “This evening will give guests and prospective families an opportunity to see Cedar Park students using their God-given talents for His glory. I believe anyone who attends would be encouraged about the prospects for the future as we see young people display excellence in both the arts and sciences.”

All activities, except dinner, are free. Cedar Park Christian School is located at 16300 112th Ave. N.E., Bothell.
