Ananda Meditation Temple in Bothell will offer a special program exploring the lives of Martin Luther King Jr. and Mahatma Gandhi tonight.

The slideshow features Martin Luther King Jr.-inspired lyrics by U2: “(Pride) In the Name of Love” and “MLK,” and Mahatma Gandhi-inspired lyrics by 7 Seconds: “Satyagraha” (Gandhi’s nonviolent resistance movement) and “Middleground.”

The Ananda Meditation Temple (23305 Bothell-Everett Highway, Bothell) will combine music, readings, stories and a multi-media presentation to illuminate the heroic lives and high ideals of Martin Luther King Jr. and Mahatma Gandhi from 7:30-9 p.m. tonight. The event is free. This is the eighth-annual tribute and is presented by members, singers and musicians from Ananda Sangha.
