Area firefighters battle blaze

The Northshore Fire Department responded to a mobile-home fire in the 7000 block of Northeast 175th Street in Kenmore July 1. Units from the Bothell and Shoreline fire departments also responded.

The Northshore Fire Department responded to a mobile-home fire in the 7000 block of Northeast 175th Street in Kenmore July 1. Units from the Bothell and Shoreline fire departments also responded.

Firefighters were dispatched at 3:40 a.m. and discovered a double-wide mobile home with smoke and flames coming from the rear of the home. They attacked the fire and protected exposures on either side of the structure.

All occupants escaped safely after waking to noise, and the Red Cross responded to their needs. There were no injuries, although the mobile home was a complete loss.

Firefighters remained at the scene until 8 a.m. conducting overhaul and assisting the King County fire investigator. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
