With summer officially here, that means it’s time for the LiveArts Bothell artists exhibition. The free event will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 27 and 28 at the Park at Bothell Landing.

When some members of the Bothell Arts Council showed interest in creating an art exhibition for the public, a committee of volunteers stepped up to the challenge.

The LiveArts committee consists of artists, gallery owners and art enthusiasts.

Thanks to the major donations, numerous volunteers and local businesses that support this event, the LiveArts exhibition was a success last year with nearly 5,000 visitors.

Emphasizing high-quality art, this event differs from traditional arts and crafts fairs because LiveArts juries both the artists and the artisans.

First, there will be a pre-function kick-off party to celebrate the LiveArts, and the function allows local businesses and primary supporters of the event the opportunity to be the first to admire and purchase the juried art. The party will be held from 6-9 p.m. June 26 at Bothell Landing. This party is invitation only unless you show extreme interest and contact a LiveArts Bothell committee member.

This year, there will a complimentary kids booth, hosted by local artist Michele Wadele-Dick, to entertain children while parents browse the aisles.
