The Arts of Kenmore Gallery is seeking art submissions for “The Art of Textiles” exhibit coming to Kenmore City Hall in September.

The artwork will be displayed from Sept. 19 to Nov. 14. There will be an opening reception from 6:30 p.m.to 8 p.m. Sept. 19.

Kenmore Gallery is seeking 2-D works from artists working in areas of textiles and fiber arts. The theme is open, as long as the works can be classified as “textiles.”  This exhibit is not limited to traditional textile mediums. Non-conventional, unique textile and fiber applications are welcome. They encourage everyone, both established and emerging artists, to submit.

Artists may submit up to two works and submissions due by Aug. 18.

Entries will be juried by the gallery curator and select board members of the Arts of Kenmore. The total number of pieces chosen for display will depend upon the size of the pieces and the space available.

For more information, contact Sara Solum Hayashi, the gallery curator.

The Arts of Kenmore Gallery is held at Kenmore City Hall, located at 18120 68th Ave. NE.
