The boys from North Bothell are red-hot, and they continued their streak through the Northwest Regionals field in San Bernardino, Calif. with a 9-4 win over Bend South from Oregon.

Bend struck first with a four-spot in the third inning, but Bothell came back with three in the fourth and then six more in the fifth to break the game open.

In the sixth inning, Bothell got things going with a bases-loaded single by Derek Lohr, and Carson Ryder plated a run with a bases-loaded walk, with the other runs scoring via hit by pitch, wild pitch, a fielder’s choice and another walk.

Bothell was able to score its nine runs on just three hits as Bend surrendered eight bases-on-balls during the game.

The team plays its final game of pool play this afternoon against Wyoming at 12:30 p.m. before the semifinals on Thursday against an opponent to be determined.
