Bothell and Inglemoor computer program students win Microsoft competition

Bothell and Inglemoor high school C# computer program students won four of six awards at Microsoft’s “Hunt the Wumpus” computer game design competition held May 30 at their Redmond campus.

Bothell and Inglemoor high school C# computer program students won four of six awards at Microsoft’s “Hunt the Wumpus” computer game design competition held May 30 at their Redmond campus.

The Northshore teams competed against Bellevue School District’s Newport and Sammamish high schools and Lake Washington School District’s Redmond and Tesla STEM high schools, winning the top three awards and one runner up award.

More than 140 Bothell and Inglemoor C# computer program students worked in teams for two months on the design and implementation of their C# computer programs in anticipation of the Microsoft competition. Each computer game design project was judged by two Microsoft software engineers, one focusing on game play and the other on the quality of the underlying C# code.
