Vandalism in Kenmore tops police reports

BOTHELL

Oct. 4

Motor vehicle theft

A 1991 Honda Civic was stolen from in front of a residence in the 21800 block of Third Place West. The car was valued at $1,000.

Oct. 3

Theft from vehicle

A GPS and a personal media player were stolen from a car parked in the lot of a business in the 11800 block of Northeast 195th Street. The items were valued at $680.

Oct. 2

Drug related

Allegedly carrying 15 grams of marijuana, a man, 22, was arrested in the 18100 block of State Route 522.

Oct. 1

Miscellaneous CDs valued at $400 are missing from a car parked in the 12500 block of Northeast 183rd Street. The victim told police they were unloading the car and the items disappeared while they were inside a nearby residence.

Sept. 30

Graffiti

Someone used what police described as permanent paint to mark a flag pole at Bothell High School. Reports said the graffiti consisted of some lettering.

KENMORE

Oct. 9

Vandalism

Someone punctured the tires of a car parked in the driveway of a home in the 166000 block of 74th Avenue Northeast. Someone also slashed the tires of a car parked in the 7600 block of Northeast 167th Street.

Vandalism

Police say someone entered Moorlands Elementary School on 84th Avenue Northeast and wrote on a mural at the school. Reports did not put a price tag on the damages or mention any suspects.

Police reports don’t contain too many details, but say someone stuck roughly 100 popsicle sticks into a residential yard that abuts 18800 64th Avenue Northeast.

Three incidents of slashed tires were reported: in the 8600 block of Northeast 155th Street; the 7500 block of Northeast 169th Place; and, the 7800 block of Northeast 165th Street. At one location, someone also smashed a flower pot and tore off windshield wiper blades at another. Reports don’t say if the incidents reported this day, or those that happened later in the week, are related.

Oct. 7

Commercial burglary

The suspect, or suspects, cut a chain link fence and entered the front of a business in the 7500 block of Northeast 175th Street. They proceeded to remove cash from safes within the building. Police indicated the thieves may have had keys to the safes and knew their location ahead of time. No word on how much money was taken.

Oct. 4

Vandalism

Persons unknown broke out a front window on a residence in the 6400 block of Northeast 181st Street. Police said the home had not been broken into.
