Bothell/Everett Highway is now open after a construction-related accident closed one of Bothell’s busiest thoroughfares for several hours.

A excavator clipped utility lines running above Bothell-Everett Highway on Friday afternoon, bringing down the utility lines and nearly ripping the utility pole in half. Police said the pole was knocked down onto a vehicle, but there were no significant injuries.

Police closed the road between NE 188th Street and NE 185th Street, but the section was reopened just before 5 p.m.
