Bothell families displaced after fire rips through apartment complex in Canyon Park

At approximately 3:55 a.m. on Thursday, June 25, a fire broke out at the Canyon Pointe Apartments in Bothell.

Bothell families have been displaced from their Canyon Park apartment complex thanks to a fire that ripped through the structure early Thursday morning. The damage is estimated to be at least $300,000 but there are no reports of injuries. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

At approximately 3:55 a.m. this morning, fire crews responded to a multi-family structure fire, located at Canyon Pointe Apartments in Bothell, located at 1630 228th St. SE.

Upon arrival, crews found smoke and flames coming from a front window of the structure, in Building G. Initially, firefighters made a fast interior attack, and then changed tactical strategy to use an aerial ladder when fire extended into the attic and roof area.

Crews from Bothell Fire and E.M.S., Woodinville Fire & Rescue, Shoreline Fire Department, Kirkland Fire Department, Snohomish County Fire District No. 7, and Snohomish County Fire District No. 1 responded to the blaze.

All occupants were safely evacuated from the building, including two cats. There were multiple units affected by the fire and several occupants have been displaced. The Red Cross responded to provide resources.
