Bothell field revenue agents earn Employee Recognition Awards

Two DOR field agents in Bothell were awarded for their performance at a ceremony in Olympia on Dec. 15

The Washington State Department of Revenue (DOR) announced the winners of its Fiscal Year 2014 Employee Recognition Awards and awarded winners during a ceremony on Dec. 15 in Olympia.

The annual awards acknowledge exemplary performance by staff members in nine categories: Project Team, Teamwork, Field Office, Outstanding Employee, External Customer Service, Internal Customer Service, Leadership, Outreach and Inclusion, and Safety.

The winners are:

  • Leadership: Lisa Beauchamp, Compliance Division, Bothell
  • Outreach and Inclusion: Ole Hoiby, Property Tax Division, Bothell
  • Project Team: Information Services GIS and Property Tax Team
  • Teamwork: Specialty Licensing Unit, Taxpayer Services Division
  • Field Office: Bellingham Field Office
  • Outstanding Employee: David Tevis, Taxpayer Account Administration Division
  • External Customer Service: Kenneth Krous, Audit Division
  • Internal Customer Service: Kari Johnston, Legislation and Policy Division
  • Safety: George Dewan, Information Services Division

Revenue Director Carol K. Nelson noted the winners were chosen from among 162 nominations submitted by Revenue employees recognizing the efforts of 293 people, or almost a quarter of total agency staffing.

“I’m proud to be a part of a team that consistently embodies Revenue’s commitment to top-notch customer-focused service, constant improvement, efficiency and innovation,” Nelson said. “These awards allow us to say thank you and let our employees know how much we appreciate their hard work and accomplishments.”

The DOR’s director and members of its Executive Team announced and presented winners with awards during a ceremony Dec. 15th at the state Capitol.

The Department of Revenue is Washington state’s primary tax administration agency, nationally recognized for innovation and service quality. In Fiscal Year 2014, Revenue collected more than $19.6 billion in tax revenues that support public schools, social services, health care, corrections, public safety and natural resources conservation.
