Bothell PD searches for teen, uncertain if taken or runaway | UPDATE

Detectives have become highly concerned for the welfare of Thiya Aminy. Detectives have been unable to determine if Thiya ran away or was taken against her will.

According to a 10 a.m. update from the Bothell Police Department, Thiya Aminy has been found thanks to a lot of citizen tips that came in. Detectives contacted her and she is ok.

They connected with Aminy via phone and was able to verify that she had run away and was not endangered by ‘David’, the man she was last seen with.

Bothell Police Department sends a huge thank you to all the citizens who called in with information.

Thiya is considered an endangered missing child due to her age and the circumstances surrounding her disappearance. If anyone has information on the whereabouts or status of Thiya, please call the Bothell Police Department right away.

Detectives at the Bothell Police Department are asking for help in locating a missing teenager.  16 year-old Thiya Aminy was last seen on April 6, 2015, when she was dropped off at the Canyon Park Park & Ride in Bothell by her mother. Thiya was supposed to ride a bus from the Park & Ride to Bellevue College for her first day of Spring quarter, but she never made it to class and has not returned home.

Some information developed by detectives suggests Thiya could possibly be in the company of a 25+ year old man named “David,” described as 5’10”-6’00” tall, slim build with reddish-brown hair.

Thiya is described as 4’10” tall, 130 lbs, with brown eyes and black hair. She was last seen wearing a purple head scarf, gray shirt, long gray coat, blue jeans and black shoes.
