Bothell police investigating interrupted residential burglary

At about 10:40 a.m. on Sunday, Bothell police officers were dispatched to an interrupted residential burglary in the 10500 block of Woodinville Drive.

According to a City of Bothell press release, when officers arrived, they learned the female victim had entered her residence and found a male subject inside. The female said she was assaulted and the male subject fled the scene on foot.

A police K-9 searched the area but was not able to locate the suspect, the release states. The female was transported to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries and evaluation.

Detectives have been assigned to assist and will investigate allegations the victim was sexually assaulted by the suspect during the commission of this crime, according to the release.

The suspect is described as a white, male, adult wearing a dark, short sleeve t-shirt (bearing unknown type logo) and dark jeans.
