Bothell resident and Chrysalis High School senior Hope Langkow has been selected as a finalist for the National Merit Scholarship.

Langkow was chosen based upon her academic performance in grades 9-12, a rigorous curriculum, two sets of test scores, teacher recommendations, extracurricular activities, leadership qualities and an essay.

“I feel really blessed and honored to be a part of this group of scholars,” Langkow said.

“We are so proud of Hope and her accomplishments and can’t wait to watch her bright future unfold,” said Langkow’s teacher Sarah Schwager.

Langkow will be attending Judson College in Marion, Alabama, on a full-ride scholarship, where she will study psychology with an emphasis on equine-facilitated mental health.

Winners will be announced on May 11.
