The following is a release from the Bothell Police Department:

Have you been the victim of theft, vehicle prowl, or harassing phone calls? Have you lost something, or had property damaged by graffiti or vandalism? Bothell residents have a new online tool to report certain types of crimes.

The Bothell Police Department Citizen’s Online Police Reporting System, called CopLogic, allows people to report certain crimes immediately, print a copy of the police report for free and get a case number for insurance purposes. CopLogic is a system used by 450 law enforcement agencies across North America.

The system helps police departments allocate resources to better meet the needs of the community. Agencies using the CopLogic solution have reported citizens filing up to 30 percent of all reports online, reducing the need to dispatch officers for minor non-threatening incidents.

To report certain crimes online, visit Bothell’s website, click on City Services and then Police. The CopLogic link is at the bottom of the column on the right side of the page.

Remember, if you have an emergency, dial 911.
