Bothell students raise more than $1,400 for victims of earthquake

Four sixth grade girls, Abby R, Divya A, Risha G, and Gloria S, from Shelton View Elementary in Bothell took it upon themselves to develop, plan and engage their school community in a penny drive fundraiser in order to raise funds for the victims of the Nepal earthquake.

Four sixth grade girls, Abby R, Divya A, Risha G, and Gloria S, from Shelton View Elementary in Bothell took it upon themselves to develop, plan and engage their school community in a penny drive fundraiser in order to raise funds for the victims of the Nepal earthquake.

Their goal was to raise $400 in one week. The final donation total was $1,432.

A check for the total amount was presented to Chuck Morrision, regional executive director of the American Red Cross.
