Bothell’s Gray is YWCA Seattle’s new director of advancement in King and Snohomish counties

The YWCA Seattle has named Bothell resident Carrie Gray the new director of advancement in King and Snohomish counties.

In her position, Gray will advance the YWCA’s mission of empowering women and families by developing and successfully executing a comprehensive development strategy to increase donations from individuals, corporations and foundations. She will also provide oversight to the YWCA’s public relations, marketing and communications efforts.

Gray is a recent transplant to the Pacific Northwest and has 20 years in nonprofit leadership, fund-raising and grant making. Her most recent position was director of donor engagement with the North Carolina Community Foundation, where she spent four years on the senior leadership team designing and coordinating its donor engagement program, providing oversight for all aspects of their $5 million grants and scholarship program and developing strategic initiatives for increasing philanthropy among women, youths and communities of color.

Prior to that she was with the YWCA of the Greater Triangle in Raleigh, N.C., as its director of development and programming.
