Bothell High School football coach Tom Bainter has been selected to coach 2015 U.S. Under-15 National Team when the International Bowl series returns to Arlington, Texas, in January and February 2015.

Bothell offensive line coach Jim Monson has also been selected to coach on the Under-16 National Team.

The games are a collaboration of the sport’s national governing bodies in each country – USA Football and Football Canada – featuring top student-athletes in football’s greatest annual international competition.

The event will feature a week of practices and activities for five high school-aged U.S. National Teams culminating with official international competitions. The U.S. Under-18, Under-17, Under-16 and Under-15 teams will play Jan. 30-31 at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys. The U.S. Under-19 National Team will play Saturday, Feb. 7, at Maverick Stadium on the University of Texas-Arlington campus.

“This is an exciting competition for our National Team players as well as those from Football Canada,” USA Football Executive Director Scott Hallenbeck said. “Our young men have the chance to represent their country and learn from top coaches while working alongside the best athletes in their grade levels and will do it all in North Texas – a region steeped in football heritage and history.”

Bainter is 124-33 in 14 years at Bothell High School, where his teams have twice won state runners-up. Bainter was the running backs coach for the U.S. National Team at the 2009 Under-19 World Championship, helping that team win the gold medal. A USA Football Master Trainer for the Heads Up Football program, Bainter played defensive back at Western Washington University.
