The Seattle Museum Flight will host the presentation of the first scholarship from the Lt. Patrick S. Myrick Endowment Fund at 6 p.m. May 9.

Myrick, a Kenmore native, was killed in 2004 when his S-3B Viking surveillance aircraft crashed into the island of Kita Iwo Jima in the Pacific Ocean during a training operation from the aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis. He was 31.

Cherry Cherry, a Neil Diamond tribute band featuring Kenmore’s Steve Kelly, will perform a free concert at 1 p.m. May 10 at the Country Village Flower and Garden Show in Bothell.

Paving project

set for May 12-16

The paving project on State Route 524 has been rescheduled to the week of May 12-16 due to rain forecasted during the week of May 5. The city of Bothell alerts commuters that there will be temporary lane closures from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. that will affect both east- and west-bound traffic along that route. Delays may be up to 20 minutes. The lane closures include a one-mile stretch between State Route 527 and Royal Anne Road.

The Northshore-based Attic Theatre will be presenting Robert Fulghum’s “All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten” at Bellevue’s Theater at the Meydenbauer Center (11100 N.E. Sixth St.).

Performances are scheduled at 7:30 p.m. June 13 with an opening-night gala; at 7:30 p.m. June 14; at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. June 15; at 7:30 p.m. June 18 (pay what you can); at 7:30 p.m. June 19-20; at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. June 21; at 2:30 p.m. June 22. Cadet Anderson headed to Honolulu

U.S. Coast Guard Academy First Class Cadet Lina Anderson of Bothell was one of 220 cadets to learn what unit they will be assigned to after graduation at billet night March 6.

Anderson, who will earn a commission as an ensign in the Coast Guard upon graduation, will report to Sector Prevention, Honolulu, Hawaii, as an inspector for her first tour of duty.

• Air Force Airman Nicholas Irwin has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Bothell resident Tom Irwin.

• Airman Thomas Haulman graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base.

• Air Force Airman Jeffrey Schumacher has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base. He is a 2006 graduate of Inglemoor High.
