Cascadia Community College Foundation raises more than $50,000 at Make Dreams Come True Breakfast

The Cascadia Community College Foundation raised more than $50,000 at the 5th Annual Make Dreams Come True Breakfast April 21. More than 200 guests attended the event in Cascadia’s Möbius Hall and made donations that will fund scholarships and other vital college programs and services.

“We are ecstatic about the support and generosity the community displayed for our deserving and talented students. Even during these challenging times, the community showed that they understand the importance of keeping higher education accessible and affordable on the Eastside,” says Executive Director of the Foundation Linda Hendrickson.

Keynote speaker Bertrand Valdman, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Puget Sound Energy, talked about the importance of education in his life and career.

Student Pam Hurst-Guerra shared her story of finding new hope and a second chance at Cascadia after a difficult period in her life. A recipient of a scholarship through the foundation, Hurst-Guerra expressed her gratitude for the vital financial assistance that helped make her education possible.
