About 25 residents came to Kenmore City Hall to meet the principals of MainStreet Property Group LLC, the proposed developer for the lower, commercial portion of Kenmore Village on Oct. 30. The City Council will consider a purchase and sale agreement at 5:30 p.m. tonight that, if approved, will result in MainStreet Property Group taking ownership of two major segments of the Kenmore Village property in early 2015.

MainStreet representatives said they plan on constructing new commercial and residential uses on the property. The city is retaining the property being leased to the U.S. Postal Service, and the city is also retaining approximately 21,000 square feet of Kenmore Village property fronting Northeast 181st Street for a future town green and indoor pavilion building.
